Bespoke digital learning, from approved content to complete delivery
We design and develop custom e-learning experiences for organisations that need more than an off-the-shelf course.
Working from your approved scripts, subject-matter expertise or existing training materials, we can take responsibility for the complete digital production process: structuring the learning experience, designing the interface, creating interactions and multimedia, developing the course, testing and packaging it for your LMS.
And where the technology needs to go further, we can go further too.
From individual SCORM-compliant modules to large learning programmes, custom learning platforms and complete Learning Management Systems, Thomas Grey Creative brings design, development and technology together under one team.
More than e-learning design
Creating effective digital learning requires more than putting training content into an authoring tool. The experience has to be clear. The interactions need to support the learning. The visual design needs to reflect your organisation. Accessibility and usability need to be considered. Progress needs to be tracked correctly. And everything ultimately needs to work within your wider learning technology environment.
That is where we come in. We combine e-learning development with graphic design, UX/UI, animation, web development and technical integration, allowing us to deliver significantly more complex learning projects than course development alone.
You provide the knowledge and approved source content. We turn it into a finished digital learning experience.
From your content to a complete course
We can work from a finished script or transform existing source material such as:
Training manuals and documentation
PowerPoint presentations
Existing classroom training
SME-developed learning content
Compliance and policy material
Product and software training
Existing e-learning requiring redesign
Structured course scripts
We then determine how that information should work as a digital experience: how it should be organised, where interaction adds value, how learners move through it and how knowledge should be assessed.
We do not need to reinvent your expertise. Our role is to make it work brilliantly online.
How we can help
Custom e-learning development
Designed around your learners, your content and your organisation.
SCORM-compliant e-learning
We can develop and package courses for delivery through existing Learning Management Systems, including SCORM-compliant course development and testing.
LMS design and development
For projects that need more than standalone e-learning, we can design and build bespoke learning platforms around your users, content and wider business requirements. From branded learner portals and course libraries to progress tracking, user management, reporting, payments and third-party integrations, we can create a learning environment that works around your organisation rather than forcing you into the limitations of an off-the-shelf LMS.
Our e-learning development process
A structured route from approved content to launch.
01
Content and requirements
You provide the approved script, training content or source materials alongside your learning objectives, audience and technical requirements.
We review everything from a digital-production perspective and establish the structure, functionality and delivery requirements for the project.
02
Learning experience
We determine how the material should translate into an online experience.
This can include course architecture, storyboarding, navigation, interactions, assessments and the overall learner journey.
03
Look and feel
Before developing the complete course, we establish its visual direction.
We can create bespoke interfaces, course templates and representative screens aligned with your existing brand or develop a dedicated visual language for the learning programme.
04
Development
Once the direction is approved, we build the course.
Our designers, e-learning specialists and developers can work together across interactions, visual assets, animation, multimedia and technical functionality.
05
Testing and accessibility
We test the experience across the agreed environments and requirements, checking functionality, navigation, interactions, course tracking and overall usability.
Accessibility can be incorporated throughout the design and development process, including consideration of ADA and WCAG requirements and assistive technologies where appropriate.
06
Deployment
We prepare the final course for deployment into your LMS or work with you on the wider platform implementation.
For custom systems, we can also provide hosting, monitoring, maintenance and ongoing technical support.
Accessibility built into the experience
Digital learning needs to work for as many people as possible.
We consider accessibility as part of the wider user experience rather than treating it as a final-stage addition. Depending on the technology and project requirements, this can include consideration of:
Keyboard navigation
Screen readers
Colour contrast
Text readability
Alternative text
Captioned multimedia
Logical navigation and focus order
Interaction design
ADA and WCAG requirements
Assistive technologies such as JAWS
Where accessibility requirements are particularly important, we can incorporate them into the project specification from the outset.
E-LEARNING
SCORM-COMPLIANT
Pernod Ricard
Interactive courses and an integrated learning platform.
Working on behalf of creative agency Strange Hill, we helped create a complete digital learning solution for Pernod Ricard.
The project combined interactive, SCORM-compliant course content with a custom-built learning platform, registration requirements, student progress tracking and integrations with external systems.
Rather than treating the LMS and learning content as separate projects, we brought the different elements together into a cohesive learner experience.
E-LEARNING
Tavistock Relationships & CAFCASS
Accessible digital learning for a complex subject.
Tavistock Relationships commissioned us to help transform expert-developed content into an interactive digital learning course for CAFCASS.
We created a bespoke visual approach around the CAFCASS brand before developing the complete experience in Articulate Storyline 360, combining detailed information with clear navigation and accessible interaction design.
E-LEARNING
UK Research Integrity Office
Research integrity e-learning.
We developed the Introduction to Research Integrity online training course for the UK Research Integrity Office.
The course transformed detailed research-integrity guidance into a structured interactive learning experience, using Articulate Storyline 360 to combine information, interaction and clear visual communication.
From one module to a complete learning ecosystem
Every organisation comes to us with a different starting point.
You might already have an LMS and simply need a specialist team to turn your training content into exceptional SCORM courses. You might be creating a new company-wide learning programme and need design, development and technical delivery across dozens of modules. Or you might have requirements that conventional learning platforms simply cannot accommodate and need a bespoke system developed around your organisation.
We can scale the solution around the problem.

Why Thomas Grey Creative? Design, technology and learning production in one team.
A complex e-learning project can easily become fragmented between instructional designers, creative agencies, e-learning developers, LMS providers and web development teams. Thomas Grey Creative brings those disciplines together.
Our background spans graphic design, digital experience, UX/UI, e-learning development and custom web-based software. It means we can think beyond individual screens and consider the complete experience: what the learner sees, how they interact with it, how the technology behaves behind it and how it fits into the wider organisation.
You also work directly with the people responsible for designing and delivering the project, giving us the flexibility to adapt quickly as requirements develop.
Whether you need a single interactive course or an entire learning platform, our focus is the same: clear thinking, considered design and technology that works.
